From my design studio near Battle in Sussex, I design and build websites and print work—with a focus on effective, and the apt and helpful. I enjoy the process of understanding a clients needs, and providing them with the appropriate solutions to that – sometimes its outside of the way they may see the business, and often involved with the processes and alternative methods to promote or market the company, brand or business.
I’m a confident graphic designer, at home working solo or within a team, I enjoy a challenge and the variety of demands and issues of making client business, brand or product look and function in a visually considered and appropriate way.
Slightly obsessed with bikes, either road or mountain bikes, and if not designing, I’m probably to be found riding around the lanes of the Sussex Weald, exploring and figuring out ways to make things work and become better.
Following a BA Hons in Graphic Art & Design, I then built up a solid track record in design by working for IPC Media, Hotcourses and Panini UK, where I produced high-quality design work for titles including Doctor Who Magazine, bliss and mizz.
My experience as a graphic designer is practical, theoretical and actual. After 15 years of experience in the design world, working for local agencies in Tunbridge Wells and larger publishers of print and digital content in London, I moved to start my own studio with the sole aim to develop design skills progressively and purposefully, whilst keeping in mind client wishes, requirements and budget.
With robust skills across contemporary and traditional design, I know Adobe creative suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign like the back of my hand, and am well-versed in Apple Macintosh operating systems. I also have strong experience in art direction and picture research, from simple product shoots in studios, to multi-day oversea trips.
I also have a particular passion for illustration, custom typography and letter-cutting. I blend all these influences into my work, offering a very diverse background of experience.
